Spread’Em Is Headed To Toronto Veg Food Fest, Sept 7-9
Hello Ontario friends! We’re headed to Toronto for the Veg Food Fest happening at Harbourfront Centre from September 7-9 and you should too! Admission is FREE. This is a big event for us, so we wanted to make sure that we spread the word and let you know we’re coming and how you can find us.
What is the Veg Food Fest?
Presented by the Toronto Vegetarian Association, the Veg Food Fest is North America’s largest celebration of all things veg! The mission: to inspire people to choose a healthier, greener, more compassionate lifestyle through plant-based eating. The festival is attended by over 40,000 visitors each year, there to taste food from over 150 vendors, and take in more than 40 hours of presentations and workshops from popular speakers within the veg community. It’s a great place to learn from experts on health, nutrition, fitness, meal pep, animal issues, sustainability, or just relax and eat. Happening at Harbourfront Centre, the hours are as follows:
- Friday, September 7th from 4-9pm
- Saturday, September 8th from 12-9pm
- Sunday, September 9th from 12-7pm
Why are we going?
We ventured out to Ottawa in June to participate in the Ottawa Veg Fest and the reception for our products was so overwhelming we knew we had to come out to Toronto. With our products now available across Ontario at Whole Foods and other specialty retailers (check out our store locator to find the shops closest to you), we wanted to come out and connect with the veg community and offer people who might not know us a chance to taste our spreads. And, since we just added a couple of new flavours to our lineup, we thought Veg Fest would be a good spot to debut them! So, if you’re already a Spread’Em fan, there’s still a reason to come visit our booth. We also love trying food and meeting other foodmakers, so we want to celebrate this growing community and taste what others are cooking up. We’ll also be running contests and have some other fun stuff planned for our time in the city so be sure to follow our Instagram account if you’re not already so you can keep up with where we’re at and what we’re up to.
