Oyster Mushroom Toast
You gotta try this simple, creamy, tangy pan-fried oyster mushroom toast
INGREDIENTS for 1 toast:
- Jalapeno & Lemon Creamy Cashew Dip
- 1/2 of a small baguette, sliced in two
- 2 tsp olive oil
- A handful of fresh oyster mushrooms (or any mushrooms)
- Salt and pepper
STEPS:
- In a frying pan heat oil over medium heat
- Add the mushrooms and fry on low occasionally pressing down and flipping until golden and crispy
- Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper
- Reapply a bit of oil if needed and fry the bread, cut side down until golden and crispy
- Spread a generous dollop of Jalapeno & Lemon on both sides of the bread, top with mushrooms. Close together and take a bite! It'll be savoury, creamy, crunchy and just the right amount of spicy.
